Last updated: 27 July 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how Connie Daniels – Gentle Rest (“Gentle Rest”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information through gentlereset.com.au and when providing breathwork and coaching services in Perth, Western Australia and online.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.

1. What we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address and phone number.
  • Enquiry information, including messages you send through our contact form or by email.
  • Booking and service details, such as the service selected, appointment date and time, whether your session is in person or online, and booking or attendance history.
  • Payment and transaction information, such as order details, billing information, payment status, refunds and transaction references.
  • Session and wellbeing information you choose to share so we can provide appropriate breathwork or coaching support.
  • Technical information, such as IP address, browser and device information, cookies, and website usage or security logs.

Where practical, you may contact us without identifying yourself. However, we need certain information to respond to an enquiry, confirm a booking or provide a service.

2. Sensitive and health information

Information about your health, wellbeing or personal circumstances may be sensitive information. We only ask for or collect this information when it is reasonably necessary for our services and with your consent, or where otherwise permitted or required by law. You decide what you wish to share, although limited information may affect our ability to safely provide a session.

3. How we use your information

We may use personal information to:

  • answer enquiries and communicate with you;
  • manage bookings, availability, reminders, cancellations and refunds;
  • send confirmation details and, for online sessions, relevant Zoom access information;
  • provide and personalise breathwork or coaching services;
  • process payments and maintain business, tax and accounting records;
  • operate, protect, troubleshoot and improve our website and services;
  • prevent fraud, misuse or security incidents; and
  • meet legal, insurance and professional obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We will only send marketing messages with your consent or where permitted by law, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Payments, bookings and service providers

Our website uses WordPress and WooCommerce to support website, booking and order functions. Card payments are processed through Square. Gentle Rest does not intentionally receive or store your full card number; payment details are handled by the payment provider under its own privacy and security practices.

We may disclose the minimum information reasonably required to trusted providers that help us operate, including website hosting, email, booking, payment, video-conferencing, IT, accounting and professional advisers. Zoom may be used for online sessions. These providers may process or store information outside Australia and are subject to their own privacy policies and locations.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect someone from a serious threat, to investigate suspected unlawful activity, or with your consent.

5. Cookies and embedded content

Our website may use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep the site secure, remember preferences, support bookings or checkout, and understand website performance. Your browser can block or delete cookies, but some booking, account or payment features may then not work correctly.

Pages may contain links to or embedded content from third-party websites. Those services may collect information about your interaction with their content and are governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Storage, security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse, interference, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information may be held in our website systems, email, booking and payment platforms, secure business records and service-provider systems.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide services, resolve concerns and meet legal, tax, insurance or record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it.

No online system is completely secure. If you believe your information may have been compromised, please contact us promptly.

7. Access and correction

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you or request a correction if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity, and any lawful exception or fee will be explained before we proceed.

8. Privacy questions and complaints

If you have a question or complaint, email us with enough detail for us to investigate. We will acknowledge your message and aim to respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, systems or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date.
